IL High School Equivalency
Community residents who have not earned a high school diploma can test to obtain their
Illinois High School Equivalency (HSE). Illinois accepts three exams for high school
equivalency, with the most well know and what 91快活林 tests is the GED庐

The U.S. and Illinois Constitution Test
The State of Illinois requires all persons who receive the Illinois High School Equivalency
certificate to pass the Illinois State Constitution Test. Those who did not meet this
requirement while in high school must complete an online lesson and quiz to satisfy
the requirement. You must complete at least one official GED庐 test prior to completing
the Constitution lesson.
Completing the following online lesson at will satisfy the Illinois Constitution requirement to receive a State of Illinois
High School Diploma. At the end of the lesson, you will be asked to provide information
so that completion of this requirement can be connected to your high school equivalency
testing (GED庐). Please also print or save a copy of the certificate created at the
end of the lesson to use as proof of completion. This certificate must be presented
to the Regional Office of Education for the student鈥檚 county of residence to satisfy
this requirement. Any person who passed the Illinois Constitution Test that was in
place prior to July 1, 2022, has met the constitution requirement and does not need
to complete this version.
If you passed the Constitution Test in high school, you will need to present to the
Regional Office of Education a high school transcript or an official letter with your
complete name and birth date, a statement saying you passed the Constitution Test
and the date, and the signature of a school staff member.
HSE Transcripts and Certificates
Once examinees have passed all HSE sub-tests and the U.S./Illinois Constitution test,
they may apply for their Illinois HSE transcript and/or certificate at their local
Regional Office of Education.
